Je vous présente ma prochaine exposition solo chez Boye, au 4872 St-Denis à Montréal, dimanche le 22 avril 2007. Pour l’occasion, le salon Boye revampe son espace et le transforme en galerie d’art. Un peu plus d’une quizaine d’oeuvres seront présentées ayant pour thème des fragments d’intimité, des photos de (très) près des gens avec mélange de textures et de particules. À voir!

I found a picture of the launch of ROJO Air edition magazine sponsored by Nike that I participated in last October. It’s a cool shot of the wall, posters of different pages of the magazine. (mine is the fourth one in the bottom). yeah!

On a small side street sandwiched between the shoppers on St. Laurent and the diners on St Denis rests an all too easily overlooked space that at first blush seems to be, if one is was feeling expansive, a café: and it is - but it isn’t. Pine-paneled walls, roughshod tiling on the floors, a disassembly of tables, chairs and a scattering of magazines and flyers it could very well be the definition of esoterica but the Fôkus Gallery is, at its disheveled core, an art gallery. Recently Fôkus hosted Cellphun, an exhibition of digital art/photography by Roxana Brongo, a local Montreal artist with an intrepid vision. Armed with only a Sony Ericsson T630 cell phone, Brongo has captured a world of the everyday – city streets, buildings, marquees and concrete walls which all help form the vocabulary of Cellphun.

Sincèrement un gros merci à tous ceux qui sont venus au vernissage hier soir. La soirée était remarquablement réussie. Ça m’a aussi donné beaucoup d’énergie pour continuer.
Thanks to everyone who came to the opening of my first show last night. Cellphun was a success. All that good energy gave me strength to continue my work.

C’est ce soir le vernissage de ma première exposition. Mon projet intitulé Cellphun, fait entièrement de photos prises avec mon cellulaire, ouvre officiellement ce soir à 20h à la Galerie Fokus (68, rue Duluth est).

C’est officiel, mon exposition intitulé Cellphun sera présenté à la Galerie Fokus (68, rue Duluth Est, Montréal) du 19 septembre au 2 octobre 2005. Vernissage le vendredi 23 septembre à partir de 20h. Musique de : Alice and the serial numbers.
Voici le projet
L’artiste Roxana Brongo a voulu donner un nouveau sens à l’art numérique en traçant la ligne entre l’art et les technologies et particulièrement les téléphones-caméras. Accompagné sans cesse de son appareil, elle découvre et redécouvre différents angles de Montréal. Ses photos rappellent son style épuré et son amour des formes et des couleurs qui prédomine sur le sujet. Il n’en reste pas moins que cette série de photos miniatures sont empreint de la saveur de Montréal un peu comme le voyage d’un passant qui croque une image entre 2 appels.
Au plaisir de vous y voir!
