Opening Night for Beyond the Surface art show at NEGLAA in East Boston

Beyond the surface, art show at NEGLAA Gallery, East Boston

The show is officially open and running for 3 months. Last night was the opening. I met a lot of interesting people, and felt like I had not enough time to talk more. Also great surprises from friends from Montréal who came to Boston for this show, thanks so much! The art from the 5 artists mixed very well together, and I would like to thanks for that the owner of the gallery, Franz Israel, and the curator, Sandra Castillo.

My artwork:

Rêveuse is a collection of subtle, emotional and untouchable dreams inspired by light, water, nature, and colors. The dream seams so gentle that reality is no more an option.

I presented 7 works of  20″x26″ of 2 layers of transparencies each creating a subtle depth of field.

Last week was a busy and stressful week. I collected all the parts needed to create my 7 pieces for my next group exhibition at NEGLAA in East Boston. I’ve tried a new concept which the final result looks so much as the style I had when I used to paint back in college. A style that was my own, a soft and dreamy style that I managed to create with my digital creations. My 7 pieces for the show, named Rêveuse - meaning dreamer – are all printed on 2 layers of clear transparencies creating a 3d almost watery effect. Hope you can come and see it at NEGLAA, or I will post some pictures after the opening. Anyway, I’m really proud of this show and feeling happy to have come closer to my own definite style.
