The best way to be creative

If you’re a creative person, what do you think it’s best to be more creative and more productive.

a) work in a non-creative (or almost) way most of your time so you don’t waste your energy and focus on real creative project once you feel inspired (and you know that you can’t be creative 100% of your time)

b) always work creatively like doing exercises and become better each day? (is that utopic?) It can be exhausting, but it’s true that sometimes you need to work even if you don’t have that energetic and wonderful idea just to keep going.
