What’s new?

I’m overwhelmed by the number of movies I’m watching lately at the Fantasia Festival. I have crazy dreams because of those strange movies. So I sleep less. I also have a lot of work to do even if it’s summer. I don’t know why but every client wants his web site ready for September. Would it be possible? And I just want to sleep more and more.
I’m also back on reading. I used to read a lot of historical books. I began to looove History at the age of 16 when I had a passionate teacher of that subject. At College, I read a lot about France (’cause it’s a good way to understand more about Quebec and Canada). I am now addicted to Japan History (of course ;). So interesting. I even looked at some universities here in Montreal, to take some classes about East-Asian History… too bad that they are during the day and I have to work… So, I got books instead. I still love it ;)

I took history of Japan at Concordia a few years ago.
Le prof, anglais d’origine, y avait vécu une partie de sa jeunesse et était absolument passionné par l’histoire de ce peuple. J’en garde un bon souvenir, même si j’ai oublié beaucoup des deux milles ans effleurés…

ahahah bonne question, et bien “vraie fille” que je suis, je trip pas trop film d’horreur.. j’ai été au festival surtout pour voir des films japonais (en espérant croiser une vue d’ensemble de Tokyo dont je m’ennuie déjà).. J’ai bien aimé “a bittersweet life” (coréen celui-là) et “shinobi”, un bravo à “the descendant” qui est un film indie d’ici… à part ça j’ai vu quelques films que je suis sortie avant la fin..(trop poche) et quelques courts métrages aussi..

Hehe !! Moi j’ai adoré, The Descent et Art of the Devil 2. J’ai aussi beaucoup apprécié Bittersweet life mais Shinobi m’a quelque peu déçu ! Mais la révélation pour moi au festival a été Funky Forest… le film le plus incroyable que j’ai vu depuis un film allemand si je me souviens bien il y a 2 ans au festival ! Bref j’ai bien aimé en général l’édition de cette année !!

aaaah mais oui! Funky Forest était très bon (avec quelques longueurs par contre) mais très original!
pour shinobi, je suis d’accord que c’est pas un chef-d’oeuvre, mais ça m’a bien diverti!
le film dont je suis sortie après 10 minutes : A Chinese Tall Story.
trop absurde pour moi, j’ai pas acroché du tout…
bon festival en général, on peut pas toujours bien tomber, mais il y avait de belles surprises.
