How to help historians talk about today’s art

May 27th, 2005

Actually I don’t know. After modern and contemporary art, which word could describe today’s art? Are we the future in the present? Can we say that we are in the future art era?

One thing is sure, it’s different. We truly are in a nouvelle vague. Digital has deeply changed the way art is done and can be done. Fast and infinite. Multi-platforms, multi-technics, multi-layers, multi-medias, it’s all the combinations that gives art of this millenium a complete new perspective. Isn’t that all art?

In Québec, Mousseau and Riopelle have been great, but people are not aware of all the new excellent stuff is coming from the new generation.
Mais ca, c’est une autre histoire…
