How to help historians talk about today’s art

Actually I don’t know. After modern and contemporary art, which word could describe today’s art? Are we the future in the present? Can we say that we are in the future art era?

One thing is sure, it’s different. We truly are in a nouvelle vague. Digital has deeply changed the way art is done and can be done. Fast and infinite. Multi-platforms, multi-technics, multi-layers, multi-medias, it’s all the combinations that gives art of this millenium a complete new perspective. Isn’t that all art?

In Québec, Mousseau and Riopelle have been great, but people are not aware of all the new excellent stuff is coming from the new generation.
Mais ca, c’est une autre histoire…

The fastest and the smallest Ricoh

So…

I met Ricoh Caplio R2, the ultra-compact digital camera and the coolest gadget.
Ricoh R2 at dpreview
Ricoh official site

Wide-angle of 28mm and macro at 1cm are some of the greatest features. Also the fastest digital camera in the same category. Top shutter release time lag: approx. 0.06 seconds.

It comes directly from Japan. My tracking number is telling me that the camera is now in Toronto… can’t wait to try it!

Haricot!

The search of the perfect digital camera has started. My old nikon coolpix 880 is now outdated, and seeing what’s coming out lately, I defitively think that I need to change. It all started with a you’re-not-so-cool-anymore feeling about the 880.

Then, I met …

p.s.My title will have a real meaning soon, as the result of my(*) extensive search.

Tanya’s Blog

Tanya has a really unique writing style, funny, twisted and original. She has a story to tell for almost any, really any, subject. She has worked with me on an article for Slash magazine and she’s still writing for it. Check out her blog ’cause she will be working with me on future projects and exhibitions. Enjoy!

My first moblog

Mobile blog is my new feature and new baby. From my cell directly to my blog. Another beautiful way to express myself and the “instant” moment. Come back often to see new images.

Coming soon
